Rule 44
Other arrangements related to occupational health and safety
: (1) In addition to what is written elsewhere in the Act and this regulation, the employer shall arrange the following arrangements in the workplace regarding occupational health and safety:-
(a) To arrange proper sanitation to protect the workers or other persons from the stench or disease that may be caused by the sewage,
(b) Arranging adequate clean air, light and suitable temperature in the working room,
(c) Proper management of debris and garbage generated in the course of work (d) To arrange the necessary sound control equipment to minimize the adverse effects on the health of workers or other persons from the noise generated at the workplace,
(e) to provide a space of fifteen cubic meters as far as possible for each worker according to the nature of the work at the workplace,
(f) To provide healthy drinking water to the workers at the workplace (G) Arranging bathrooms and modern toilets for workers (h) Declaring the whole or part of the establishment as a non-smoking area according to the nature of the work,
(i) In the case of an establishment that conducts activities that have an adverse effect on health, at least once a year health examination of the workers must be conducted,
(j) Determining suitable time for workers to eat lunch and dinner according to the nature of work.
(2) The employer shall follow the instructions given by the ministry, department or office from time to time regarding occupational health and safety.
